I am slowly going through my boxes in the attic. I have boxes still of my mother things, that I have never opened since we packed everything up after she passed away a few years ago. I just now can bring myself to start looking in them. Brings back alot of good memories but makes me sad, so doing it slowly. There is this blue velvet box with a hugh coin, called the Metal of Merit from Jerry Falwell and board of directors. I went to ebay and about fell out of my chair, one is offered for $149.00 but he has declined offers so far. I tried searching on the internet under all kind of phrases and cant find anything about this item, anyone know anything about this, what it might be worth, or a site I can find info on this. I have never ebayed and not sure if I want to start, but I might for this item if I can find any info on it and figure out how ebay works.

I have an item that is 24 inches by 17 inches by only 1 inch thick. It is a heavy item weighing 7 pounds unpacked. I want to sell it on ebay but I have one problem. I can't locate a box big enough for it. I can find 24 inch by 24 inch by 12 inch boxes but that leaves no room for padding. I found those at Staples and Office Max, but nothing bigger. Does anyone have any ideas?

Anyone know a company where I can purchase those clear flapped envelopes to store photographs? I opened a Etsy store and will be selling some photograph prints and my possibly showcase them at a craft show here locally. I am in need of those clear flapped sealable envelopes/sleves that I can slide in the print and the customer can pick them up without causing smudges on the prints.

Anyone out there know where I can find these?

I am not looking for scrapbooking sleves. I would want mass quantities of these and those will simply not work and are not waht I am looking for.

I have checked a few sites recommended to me through etsy forum groups, but that is not what I am talking about. I know there must be someone that knows.

Any assistance would thouroughly be appreciated.

I have some gold toned jewelry that I have been trying to photograph and describe. The problem is I dont know the best way to photograph jewelry and the second problem is describing it. Are there any good tips on how to photograph jewelry and also any websites that have lists and pics of all of the different styles of chains, cause I am not sure what style it is cause it is hard to get the pic clear enough to see the chain. Any help would be appreciative.

Melissa and Doug Lacing Box

I found a Melissa and Doug Lacing box in a box in my attic of stored items. I faintly remember this and it was my oldest daughter's I think, maybe it was the youngest. But I have been in ebay searching the net, and not found this one yet. I think it's older. The bottom or the box with their labe looks old and not even an email address!!! I never heard of Melissa and Doug and I dont even remember where it came from. But it not like the new items I have seen. Its called Pets Lacing box, and there is a pets, must be a newer verision not like this. This one has a horse, cat, bunny and dog. The horse is the top one. The box is wood and the card are very thick and have slot with space between them that slide into the box. It has all the orginial lacing strings, thick corded nice silky glossy type laces. the box is about 3 or 4 inch high, and there is at least 1/2 inch between the wooden cards. It's number #541. All the items I saw on line are up in the around the 2000 and 3000. Does anyone know anything about this brand, and maybe this box? The pets even have that older look to them. Thanks if anyone knows much about this item.

I'm having a bit of a delimma... I have a few items that may be worth a little money to a person who's looking for them, but they're not worth a lot... if I put them on ebay, they could end up going for 99 cents, or going for what they're worth, it just seems random these days. I could get a lot of PoshPoints out of them, I'm sure, but I'm not sure I wanna spend the shipping and I'd like a little extra cash...

So far the list includes a white Fenton hobnail ash tray in excellent condition, a round Hershey's tin from the 80s, a very old "genie" incense burner (which may be worth nothing, I'm not sure), and one of those old bronzed/tin jello ring molds (roses) that can be hung on the wall.

Like I said, none would bring a lot, but some could bring a few dollars on ebay, and every little bit helps, I just don't wanna pay for a listing and have it be the wrong day, and the auction go for 99cents or something. What would you do?

Can someone please help me with these???

I have the 2 very old Jars. One is a quart jar, with a spout, and a cork lid. The other jars is just a big round jar, with a cork lid. Both jars, are filled with very old buttons. Some you could never find in stores. Does anyone know what these might be worth? Thanks for any info!! Kasi:)

I have a Yahtzee Game made in 1956. I am not looking to POSH this; but want to know if there is any interest in buying if you are a collector of old toys/games or know anyone. It is in the original box that shows age but still intact and not falling apart or written on etc. Has that "dude" in the Cap on the front. Has the CUP, all the DICE, original pack of tally sheets as well as the instruction guide, etc. It is in pretty good shape, no ways EXCELLENT but great for a toy/game of that age. Anyone have any interest in it? As I said, I am looking to get rid of a lot of stuff before I move...I would like to have this go to a good home who will take care of it as well as "someone" sure has for the past 50+ years. I have had it for a couple years myself. PM me. I had on it Ebay once and the buyer never paid and I just never relisted it. I will sell it shipped for around $20.00 depending on where you are at.

OK this thing is the biggest train set I have ever seen I am used to the HO scale sets. Each piece of track is about 10 inches long and the engine is 18 inches by itself. I know its an old set. I am told it can be run indoors or out doors. Its was given to my little boy by his godmother and its the coolest thing. He is smitten with it so its not for sale or posh, but I need to know what exactly its called and where online to buy track and parts to it so I can replace the rusty parts of track and set it up so it works for my son. Anyone have any clue????? My son is driving me NUTS to see it work!! Oh it also has smoke juice and the train puffs smoke when you add it as well as the head light lights up on the engine and it makes train moving on track noises!! Please note i realize this is not a childs toy type thing but my son will be well supervised and I would like to set it up on a board downstairs as a little village. My son is being very nice to this train as I told him is is fragile!! Any help to save my sanity would be greatly appreciated!! I would even offer a reward in points to you if you can help me match it up and find a place to order the parts I need:D

I have this vintage bath-towel that I'm thinking of putting on Ebay, but before I do I'dlike to figure out what year range the artwork is from and if the art-style has a name.

I was guessing it was around the 60's but my friend thought it was 70's-ish. So now I have no idea anymore =_=

Not sure what this kind of thing goes for. I got a large set for Christmas from someone. I tried my hand at the candle and the soap thing and it's just not for me.
Let me know what you think. I was considering putting the heavier stuff on ebay because of the shipping costs.

What do you call the necklace holders that spin in jewelry boxes?

So, I'm looking for two of these, but I don't know what they are called, which is making it hard to search for someplace that sells them.

Inside some jewelry boxes are necklace holders. They are round with hooks sticking out all sides to hold necklaces, and you can turn them so different necklaces are to the front. I've seen tie-holders that are similar (but, well, bigger because ties are bigger than necklaces. ;))

What are they? Or, if you know, where can I buy a couple?

I have a tie left here from a garage sale (no one came to the garage sale lol), figured I'd see if it's worth poshing. Since I don't buy ties, and generally don't wear them :P I figured I'd ask what it's worth...

It is hunter green with a cool pattern in the weave in the same hunter green, and then 1"ish white diamond patterns besides. The tie has no stains or anything, but the white patterns are made with silky threads on top of the green, and the white is fraying a bit here and there.

At the moment I don't have pics but maybe someone knows....

Okay was at our local Thrift store and after I had purchased some more resale items she threw these in....she always is....

Anyway she gave me 3 plastic cars about 8 inches in length. Now one of them I am sure is just a regular ole buy me at Walmart type of car but the other two are really neat.

They are fairly detailed, when you flip the bottom of the car over it has printed details on different parts of the undercarriage about mileage, how the contour frame protects passengers, 2 year antifreeze, etc. etc. The year of the car is on the plate..and we have a 1962 Galaxy 500 and a 1963 Thunderbird.

She thought they were the cars that were given to new owners of said car when they purchased it. So if you bought a real 1963 Thunderbird you got this plastic replica car along with the purchase.

Anyone know anything about these or where to even begin to locate info? My brain must be fried for search words because I can't pull up the right things on the bay.....

Ever Used a Toner/Drum Reset Chip??

just wondering if anyone here has ever used a laser toner/drum reset chip (esp on HP)... wondering if it's much of a hassle...

they say toner carts shut off well before they're out of toner, an the reset chip will extend the life... but they cost about $10

I think I found a cheat for the toner cartridges, but I'm wondering if it'd be worth trying a drum reset chip... I think you might have to still open and empty the drum though, which sounds like a very messy ordeal lol

Gamecube System - Works Sometimes

I picked this toy up at a church rummage sale, I thought it was a playdou toy since you insert soemthing in the top and turn a crank but play-dou gets all stuck in there. So now I am hiding this thing from my son since I dont' want to spend all day digging playdough out! :D

both are by ATHENA PIACENZA

one has 80 D on her and she is 32" tall with yellow mohair she has a cryer in her.She says made in italy!

other looks alot like the first doll but stands 27 to 28" tall has a cryer and is by the same company! and she has mohair. Im guessing that these are from around 1910 or 1920 with the mohair but i might be wrong!I have looked and looked and cant find no info on them any where! any info would be helpful!

It's made out of terra cotta/clay (unfired, I believe). The asian symbols (I don't know Japanese from Chinese) down the front appear handpainted, and the smaller symbol (lower right--sorry for fuzzy pic) appears to be stamped.

I received a prize from Marlboro today that I know I will not be using. I am technologically illiterate. The prize is: Logitech FreePulse Wireless Headphones for your music player- for iPod and MP3 players. I am interested in trading this away but I do not know a fair price. Supposedly the retail price is close to one hundred dollars.

To date, I have not poshed anything that required more than one first class stamp to posh. The reason is in part because I am unsure of how to mail it.

Any friendly advice most appreciated.

What are these things used for? They have a circle/hanger at the top which makes me think of a zipper pull--except they are WAY too big and heavy to be zipper pulls. The bottom item is a ruler, to give a sense of size.

I was given a Louis Vuitton Multipli-cite Handbag about 3 or 4 years ago but the removable straps were gone. so I just put it in my closet and forgot about it. I thought I would list it here but didnt know if it was a knock off or not. I did a little research and still dont know. The knockoffs look just like the authentic ones. This one is different than both. The lining is in a suede (beige) rather than the red the others are in. The things I read to look for were inconsistent stitching or color of thread. This is beautifully made. Stitching is excellent and the color is exact. The three snaps on the pockets all have serial numbers that match even. I have added two listings, one authentic the other a knockoff bag. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it..

I'm stumped, I know they make the knockoffs so well they can fool the average person. But all the knockoffs I saw for this style all had the red lining. I cant find anywhere about the snaps having matching numbers on either auth or knock.
