Redundant Items...

Is there any way you could make a site that sells multiple items of the same thing separately? Have it's own page..I think that would be a great idea! Hey do you give points for giving good ideas?? It's just a thought!!:D:cool:

By allowing these items back into the main page, I believe that this would help save posh. Coupons are tangible items and do have to be mailed...however the postage on these is very little so i believe you would see a rise in postings and of course poshings. I also believe that coke codes, pepsi codes etc should be allowed back into the main page postings...If you don't want to look at it then kindly skip by. I know that some people were irritated by the room that the coupons took up when they were allowed to post, however, with the postings that are being done now I don't see that being a problem anymore...What does everyone think?

Ive been getting a lot of PMs and emails about the lack of photos on the items ive been listing. Well the uploader isnt working! lol! So I thought maybe to help everyone who wanted to (it is extra work) could upload to photobucket and embed the pics in the item description. If you do that I think you should just write PIX at the end of your title so people will know there are pics inside. Just for the time being until things get fixed! I dunno just a suggestion, if you wanted to do that!

I think it would be cool if they made posh points like a auction, instesd of buying another members swap, let every member have a chance at any swap, all members would bid with there points to get the swaps that they want, this way every member would be listing more and more swaps so they can get more points to bid on other members swaps, and you know members will be wanting to list a lot of stuff and even bigger stuff so thay can get more points to bid on the things they want. Well its just another thought, if anyone reads this let me know what you think, if you want to! :w00t::crazy::unsure:

I don't think there is an introduce yourself post on here. I have looked for it, and found none. PLease forgive me if there is one...I would like to see one..Any one else??? I have been here almost sense the beginning, and joined the community later on...I like forums and use to be a moderator, and more for a infant loss group. I love to read about everything, and everyone, but I'd love to be able to go back to the introdution page, and refresh myself...Sorry if this is a bad idea, or has already been done. I really have looked and don't see one though....Thanks...:)

I understand all of the posts saying that "people have the right to charge whatever number of points that they want to."

And I also understand that "If you think an item is over priced, just pass by it."

But we all need to understand something else:

EXISTING MEMBERS AND NEW MEMBERS ARE FORMING THEIR OPINION ABOUT THE SITE BY THE INFLATIONARY LISTINGS CURRENTLY ON POSHPOINTS.

Because of the listings' mix, we were becoming a coupon site. The administration is in the process (hopefully with a new tab for these listings) of correcting this.

The administration should now concentrate on eliminating these grossly over priced listings. I'm not suggesting dictating what a blouse or a book or sport cards or a CD or anything like this should be. That's up to the buyer and seller. poshpoint buyers are pretty smart folks. They can handle any of these type items that they think are overpriced.

WHAT I AM SUGGESTING IS THAT A LISTING FOR AN ITEM THAT STATES THE ITEM HAS A VALUE OF $10 NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE LISTED FOR 20 POINTS OR 50 POINTS OR 100 POINTS OR 200 POINTS!

This decision has to be made by Josh and his boss. They have to decide what their site looks like and who will continue to trade on it.

Adding eBay Link

Hi everyone...

I think it's nice to be able to add your ebay link to your POSH listings, especially if you sell on ebay....which I do....sometimes.

But, I would like to see it so that those that do not sell on ebay can add their website. Some have lovely sellers websites for other products, I would love to see their links, rather than just ebay only. I just think this is a bit one sides and unfair for those that try just as hard.

Put Coupons Back In The Ads!!

I know you want to try and please everyone, but that is NOT going to happen. I think that more people have been upset, or worse, with the coupons being banned from the ads. I have not been a member for that long and so coupons have been allowed since I became a memeber. I had a friend tell me that she was able to get coupons on this site and that is the only reason I signed up. I think that the least that could be done is add a new tab for the coupons, ebooks, etc. With the amount of coupons that were being listed and sold, appently there was a market for it. I think that some real thought needs to be put into a soulution - having coupons etc only in the forum is NOT a good one. I feel that the decision to ban them was rash and inconsiderate.

What MORE can we do to "remove" the coupon posts that are CONSTANTLY being posted on the main site.

I can hear it now, just report them. But no matter how many times one reports, it takes DAYS to have them removed. Can we not have them removed the day they were posted?

Not sure if this has been brought up, but seems like it would be easy enough to do, and since there will probably never be any sort of feedback system in place this may help with deadbeat sellers.

Simple - 3 strikes you are out!

If a seller/trader has 3 of their items points returned for non-receipt or other issue, they lose posh rights for some period of time and/or get penlized some points!

Might make them think twice about shipping things that are in bad condition or not bothering to ship at all.

If a seller does this sort of thing 3 times or more they should be punished.

Can we please fix the item counts?

The item counts are driving me NUTS. It's been this way for a WHILE, and I thought that admin started working months ago (right after the sale).

The gift certificate section is showing ~50, but there's nothing there. Baby is negative, but there are items. Everything Else is showing more items than total listings. How the heck are we supposed to browse, if this isn't working??

From a program standpoint, this should take minutes...

Can we really be surprised that listings are down, and people are migrating elsewhere?

field/box for Seller notes on their own inactive items

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have a place to put "notes to self" on or next to my Inactive Ads under My Account.
I am almost always holding things for people who are waiting to get their points saved up, and more than one person at any given time. I would love to be able to notate (just for my own viewing) who I am holding each item for, as I tend to forget who wanted what as time goes by. LOL
So - I want to be able to add my own 'notes to self' on my inactive ads, i.e. "Holding for PoshLar"
That would be great.

I wonder if having everyone list their 9 digit zip code would help with problems we have when printing a label on posh? I'm sure it would help when mailing something flat you can't use a DC on at the post office. Just a thought I had.

At the moment in my account I can see how many people have viewed my auction. Interesting, but I'd really like to see how many people have it bookmarked.

It would help me know if dropping the points prior to relisting would be useful. If people have it bookmarked, they can see the point drop. And if no one has it bookmarked it's probably not overpriced, just not interesting.

Include the title of the item being confirmed in confirmation pop-up

When I click to confirm something, a box pops up saying "Are you sure you want to confirm? By confirming you say you've gotten it." (not direct quote, but close enough)

But...it doesn't tell me what I'm confirming.

It would be really nice if the box said "Are you sure you wish to confirm -item title-. By confirming, you are saying you received -item title- in the mail."

That way it helps prevent accidentally confirming the wrong item, which is what I'm worried about doing on that page.

okay I am also on another site that whenever you post something in the forums you get a point for that post and you get to buy things with those points that you gotten for posting. There it is called power bucks, like here it could be called posh bucks. Couldn't we do something like that here since sometimes it is hard to come up with points. Cause sometimes you see items going for 1000 and there is no why I could come up with that many points?

Quicker Points Returned Back

We need to have points returned faster for items not recieved.You wait 21 days to request them back and then it takes forever to get them. I know this would make everyone HAPPY. Maybe some how they could be returned when the points requested it make automaticly

When it was decided adult items weren't allowed anymore I was at the end of my pregnancy so I wasn't paying too much attention.

Why did they decide to not allow them? I know lots of people come on here with their kids and might not want to see condoms, lubes, and other stuff. But being in my 20's and relatively active with hubby I am still interested in things like that. And I know I would let go of a lot of points to buy things. And would have a lot of things to sell.

I've also seen a few threads where people say you are supposed to be over 18 to use this site anyway.... so what if they allow adult items but with certain rules? Oh but that wouldn't really keep kids from buying stuff I guess... I'm just confused.

Anyone want to explain it to me? lol (please don't be rude or judgemental) :D I just think it might help sells a little bit.

How about a little icon below or next to the sellers name that says "Online" when thier online or "Offline" when thier not signed in. this would come in handy for people wanting to see if the seller would respond to emails quickly.

There needs some rules put into place regarding people bumping their ads in the coupon etc. forum. Just today someone posted in the morning and bumped their own post in the afternoon/evening.

I realize all the controversy with the whole thing... but since it is there it needs to have rules. Another site I am on the rule is 3 days which sometimes seems a little long, but I feel 1 day (mentioned before) is too frequent and certainly needs to be at least 24 hours!

Another suggestion..

I see alot of people complaining that they can never find stuff they want and that it's nothing but coupons and ebooks and then I see people counter with "Well, the good stuff goes fast. Just keep looking.".

So... I'd like to suggest adding a "recently poshed items" area where people could see a list of ads that were recently purchased in a certain amount of time (or you could do something like, the last 30 ads purchased). I think this would help people believe that there really are great items being posted on poshpoints and encourage them to not lose faith in their fellow members.

Sure, it doesn't help the fact that people lose out on the item BUT at least it lets the rest of us know what kind of items really are being purchased before we even get a chance to see them :P

Forum Suggestion - Ability to hide/ignore posts

Okay, I'm going out on a limb because I'm not even sure if this feature is available for the software this forum runs on BUT I think we could all make great use of being able to have posts hidden made by users on ignore.

Over the past few days I've seen alot of fighting and back+forths. Most of it I notice is because one person posts something and the other retaliates and so on and so on. It seems almost neverending =_=

I feel this could be remedied if we were able to hide posts made by those people so we wouldn't feel the need to fight back if something was written about us because some people have a harder time just letting fights go and be dropped. Also, If we had this option, and someone chose not to use it and continue to fight with someone, it would be a clear sign of knowing who was trying to cause trouble and who wasn't.

Basically, something similar to the /ignore command on IRC.. You can see what everyone else is writing but not what the person you're ignoring is writing.

How about a seasonal or holiday catagory??

I'd really love to see RSS Feeds added for the categories and [b]especially[/b] the main browse page. I find it so handy to be able to quickly browse an RSS for new additions to a website/blog and feel that this could be a great addition to the site.

[edit: I'd like to add that I am referring to rss feeds for the listings portion of poshpoints, not the forum. As there are already rss feeds available for the forum.]

Posh, you dont understand how annoying these coupons are these days here on poshpoints. I cant even browse through 3 pages without seeing "Crestwhite strips save $2" or something along those lines. I mean come on! I miss the old poshpoints where every page was something new and exciting. Coupons are just making me less and less attractive to this site. Sorry to say but we need to just get rid of the coupons. I know that isnt my decision but atleast I put this under the "Suggestions". Hope people read this and doesnt flame me like on my other threads.

It will be so nice to know when your item have been mailed out, i'm been waiting for a few pkgs since 8/29, 9/2, 9/3, and don't know if they have been mailed out yet, I pm/emailed but only one person responded (pkg bought on 9/10 has been received a few days after response) I needed them by the 28th, so i did buy them on time, i know media mail is slow, and some folks mail once a week but it would just be nice to know. Well one is being mailed out Monday,I had thought they had been on it's way. So a send by date button would be a good idea, i mail my items within 48 hrs no later and i also email buyer with Dc# number.

I do appreciate the emails that i receive telling me the item was mailed out, that is why i also send emails to buyers and give them the Dc information.
